Atlas Systems, Inc.
Aeon Program Director
Virginia Beach, VA
Since 2008, I have been working with Atlas Systems to develop and promote Aeon, an online user and request management system specifically designed to enhance public services, security, and statistics in archives and special collections. I formerly served as director of special collections at the University of Virginia and Syracuse University. I am an active member and former chair of ALA/ACRL's Rare Books and Manuscripts Section (RBMS) and am the current RBMS liaison (and a former ALA co-chair) for the ALA/SAA/AAM Joint Committee on Libraries, Archives, and Museums (CALM). I'm currently involved with initiatives pertaining to ILL and special collections/archives and metrics and assessment. As an independent researcher, I also publish and lecture on topics relating to the cultural impact of library collecting.
