Pari Swift received her BA from Wittenberg University, followed by her Master of Library and Information Science, focusing on archival administration, from the University of Pittsburgh. From 2000 to 2004 she served as the Local Government Records Archivist in the State Archives of Ohio. In 2004 she became the Assistant State Archivist. In both capacities, she provided advice and assistance to state and local government entities on sound records managment practices, often through training workshops. She also took an active role in advocating the importance of funding records programs. Pari provided administrative support for the Ohio Historical Records Advisory Board. In 2002, Pari founded the County Archivists and Records Managers Association (CARMA) to provide a forum for county record professionals to network and share information. Pari became the Senior Records Manager at the Ohio Attorney General's Office in 2009. She is responsible for developing the retention schedules for the office, monitoring compliance, developing the office's records management program. Is Vice-President of the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators (NAGARA), Chair of the Ohio Electronic Records Committee (OhioERC) and an appointed member of the Ohio Historical Records Advisory Board (OHRAB). Obtained CRM in 2014.
