Towson University
Residency Librarian
Towson, MD
As the residency librarian, I spent my first year rotating through Technical Services, Research and Instruction, and Archives and Special Collections. My second year will focus on a capstone project in Towson University Archives and Special Collections.

In my Technical Services rotation, I created a shared platform for storing and describing e-resource licenses; inventoried and updated catalog records for the reference collection; and created a metadata schema for a digital collection. In my Research and Instruction rotation, I taught information literacy instruction sessions, co-created a workshop on reference resources, and provided reference support using multiple media. I also organized a project that maps curriculum to information literacy instruction. This past summer I worked in Archives and Special Collections processing student organization records. I look forward to completing my capstone in this department.

In addition, I serve on the Assessment and User Experience committees and the web content work group, participating in ethnographic research, usability testing and research, and web updates. I am a part of the American Library Association, including service on the RBMS Diversity Committee and the Ethnic Multicultural Information Exchange Round Table. I am also a member of the Maryland Library Association, the Society of American Archivists, and the Mid-Atlantic Region Archives Conference and hope to participate more in the future.
