About the poster: "Searches in Sinai: the Romain Francois Butin Epigraphic Collection" details a recently processed collection composed of materials from a 1930 Harvard-Catholic University joint expedition to Sinai to search for Proto-alphabet inscriptions. Romain Butin, Ph.D. (CUA) was the expedition's epigrapher. As far as access and outreach plans: complete digital archiving hosted on the university's institutional repository (Fall 2014), have an online finding aid up on CUA's webpage (Winter 2014) and an exhibition in CUA's Mullen Library (Spring 2015) to coincide with the expedition's 85th Anniversary.

About me: While pursuing a double MA History/MS Library & Information Science at Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, I am working in the Semitics/ICOR Special Collection, one of CUA's Rare Books Libraries, through the Graduate Library Preprofessional (GLP) Scholarship program.
[CUA's GLP Program provides full tuition coverage and a grad student stipend to help students pursue their degree while gaining professional experience within the University Libraries system.]
