It's pretty amazing to spend every day working at a job that, if I had the time and money to spare, I would do for free. I've been preserving and sharing the fascinating history of Limestone County at the Limestone County Archives since 2010. In addition to keeping the documents in order, helping the patrons, and keeping our historic building standing, I also get to go out into the community, speaking, writing, and taking part in events that let everyone else know all about the awesome history of their home. With a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of North Alabama and careers as a journalist and a work-at-home-mom in a prior life, I'm vastly underqualified for my job (shh, don't tell), but I love being a late bloomer to the archival profession.
